My review of “In a Dark, Dark Wood” by Ruth Ware

I was really pleased when I was given the opportunity to read and review this book. The cover immediately drew my attention and the tag line – Someone’s getting married. Someone’s getting murdered. I couldn’t wait to get my teeth in to it. I love a good psychological thriller and his one did not disappoint.  The plot outline is brief but intriguing – In a dark, dark wood. There was a dark, dark house. And in the dark, dark house there was a dark, dark room. And in the dark, dark room…. Nora hasn’t seen Clare for ten years. Not since Nora walked out of school one day and never went back. Until, out of the blue, an invitation to Clare’s hen do arrives. Is this a chance for Nora to finally put her past behind her? But something goes wrong. Very wrong. Some things can’t stay secret for ever.  The book moves at a good pace, I started it last night and finished it off this morning, I didn’t want to put it down, I wanted to find out what happened, who died? Who was responsible? How did it happen? Well I didn’t see it coming – I really highly recommend this if you are looking for a good thriller with a psychological edge. I am looking forward to future books by this author.  This book is due out on 30th July 2015 so add it to your wishlist now!
