Well where can I start with my review on this book – I really enjoyed this book, the characters were great, I loved the period of time that the book covered being a big fan of any books set in Germany, the detail and the descriptions used made the story come to life. The blurb in summary really intrigued me – “When Oberleutnant Karin Müller is called to investigate a teenage girl’s body at the foot of the wall, she imagines she’s seen it all before. But when she arrives she realises this is a death like no other: the girl was trying to escape – but from the West…” The book is paced excellently and it was a real page turner for me. In all honesty, I didn’t realise when I was given an opportunity to read and review the book that Stasi Child is David Young debut novel – it’s a brilliant and page-turning debut and I look forward to reading any future books he writes. It’s a must for any wish list, its due out on 1st October 2015!
