When a dead man is lifted from the freezing waters of Oslo Harbour just before Christmas, Detective Lena Stigersand’s stressful life suddenly becomes even more complicated.
Not only is she dealing with a cancer scare, a stalker and an untrustworthy boyfriend, but it seems both a politician and Norway’s security services might be involved in the murder.
With her trusted colleagues, Gunnarstranda and Frolich, at her side, Lena digs deep into the case and finds that it not only goes to the heart of the Norwegian establishment, but it might be rather to close to her personal life for comfort.
I loved the plot in this book and the writing style was excellent!
I loved how I was thrown straight in to the story and I was gripped from the first few pages, it was definitely a great way to start a book! The characters were superb and really suited the story.
Whilst this is the 8th in the series, it is the first book I have read by the author, although I do have a lot on my TBR mountain that have just been bumped up to the top after reading this one! I loved the writing style.
A thorough enjoyable read, 4.5 stars from me rounded up to 5 stars for Amazon and Goodreads!!
