Be careful what you wish for…
Long ago, Andrew made a childhood wish, and kept it in a silver box. When it finally comes true, he wishes it hadn’t…
Long ago, Ben made a promise and he had a dream: to travel to Africa to volunteer at a lion reserve. When he finally makes it, it isn’t for the reasons he imagined…
Ben and Andrew keep meeting in unexpected places, and the intense relationship that develops seems to be guided by fate. Or is it?
What if the very thing that draws them together is tainted by past secrets that threaten everything?
I don’t think I can do a review that will do this book justice and show just how good it is so I am going to keep it short and sweet – it is brilliant – buy it!!
In all seriousness I loved everything about this book, the writing style is superb, the plot is excellent and I loved the characters. The setting is brought to life as the words flow and you feel completely immersed in the story. I found the story to be completely addictive, when I wasn’t reading it I wanted to be – that doesn’t happen to many times for me and after I’d finished the story I found myself thinking about it.
No hesitation at all in giving this story 5 stars – one of my highlights of 2018 – superbly written and another cracking book from Louise Beech!!
