In the close-knit community of Carrenporth in Cornwall everyone knows everyone else’s business.
Luke Carrack is only too aware of this. He’s been away for two years but nothing has changed – from the town gossips who can’t see past the scandal of his childhood, to the cold way he is treated by some of his so-called family.
The only person who seems to understand is local hotelier’s daughter Cat Trevelyan, although even Luke’s new friendship with her could set tongues wagging.
But Carrenporth is about to experience far bigger scandals than the return of Luke Carrack – and the secrets unearthed in the process will shake the sleepy seaside town to its core …
I thought that this was a really well written story and I found it to be a completely compelling read! There was mystery, romance and intrigue and some fascinating characters too!
I have read quite a few books by this author and she writes a good story with strong characters and this one was no different, I thought that their interaction was great, it made the book a great read and I loved seeing how it developed. The author has an addictive writing style and I thought that the plot was great and I loved seeing how it all developed, and I liked trying to guess the ending!
The setting was great and I have been having a bit of a binge on books set in Cornwall and it has been lovely for me to be able to visualise where the characters were, I do love Cornwall and the book has definitely made me want to return ASAP!
It is four stars from me for this one, I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable story and really looking forward to what she releases next – highly recommended!!
