MY REVIEW
I thought that this book was excellent, it is the second in a trilogy of dystopian books and they have had me gripped so far!
As I said with my review of the first book in the trilogy, The Pale, every now and again I want to read something that is a little out of the norm for me and this trilogy has certainly ticked all the boxes for me and I am delighted to be able to share my review for Broad Plain Darkening – the second book in the series!!
I had to start reading this book as soon as I finished the first one, I was completely addicted and I started the third and final book as soon as I finished this one – the author has woven a fabulous story and it had me well and truly hooked!!
This is definitely a set of books that you need to read in order and whilst the first could potentially be read as a stand-alone, you need to read rest to find out what happens as you will be left wondering otherwise.
The characters were excellent, they were very well developed and I thought they worked brilliantly together, they carried the plot very well and it was a really additive read and very enjoyable too.
It is 4.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 5 stars for Goodreads and Amazon – it had a really good and well developed plot and cannot wait to see how the trilogy ends!!
